Officer Joseph D. Corr Foundation

Joe's sisters (Kelly and Sherri) started the webpage in honor of Joe who was shot and killed in the line of duty on 2.27.06 in New Hartford, NY. Learn more about Joe's story...

The Corr Family is active in fundraising for the Joe Corr Memorial Fund which supports local scholarships in Joe's name. Our biggest event is hosted in honor of Joe's birthday in July. The Joe Corr Memorial Softball Celebration brings together police, firefighters, public servants, and community members for a full day of softball and camaraderie. During this day we also remember 2 other police officers killed in the line of duty: Thomas Lindsey of the Utica Police Dept and Kurt Wyman of the Oneida County Sheriff's Dept.

Furthermore, we are engaged in a number of other fundraising and awareness campaigns for line-of-duty deaths of police officers including Concerns of Police Survivors, Officer Down Memorial Page, National Police Week in Washington DC, and the Law Enforcement Memorial.

Our hope is that this memorial site can be a source of inspiration and information for many and that we can continue to work together to keep Joe's memory alive through continued service and support.
